Today’s game is Project Zomboid. Me and two other friends decided to start a new save and just play together for a bit. We ended up holing up in a Milk Store. I broke apart tables in the nearby houses for supplies to barricade the windows and my friend put up curtains. Overall? It cleaned up very nicely.
The inside i cleaned out too in order to make space. I brought a couch in and one of my friends brought a TV. We basically made it into a cozy little den with space for food and snacks lol. Even in the apocalypse we’d want to live in luxury it seems.
I found a semi out back which i moved up. I parked it next door. Our hope is to take it out to the woods and harvest a bunch of wood for Log walls to get some security. Then we can have a bit of outdoor space too keep us safe.
That security outside would be nice because the world for whatever reason is always really fog and it’s impossible to ever see anything. so having a bit of assurance while outside would be nice. While we originally had plans to start on the log walls, they ultimately fell through because we didn’t have time, so that’s a future project it would seem.
Will forever be one of my favorite games of all time. Rosewood drive-in is my base of choice.
Project Zomboid is back!
I‘ve gotten Zomboid as well, haven‘t had the time to try it yet though. Any tips for a complete clueless beginner?
Also, crazy how you‘ve kept these posts going!
(Not OP) You are gonna die, a lot :). Don’t worry about that too much, you can spawn your new char in the same world, and use your built up safehouse just the same. On your second char, you already might have skillbooks (like farming 101)and skill-VHS tapes ( like woodcraft episode 3) that help you level faster waiting for you at the old safehouse. So while progression is also character based, it’s not JUST character based.
Zombies are nothing 1 on 1, but scary in groups. Instead of fighting 50 zombies at once, try and herd them into a forest or quiet part nearby, and then make the old Irish Goodbye, just sprint out of sight, take the long way back. It’ll take days for them to find their way back.
Also, it’s a sandbox. Basically every setting is changeable. Dont like something ? Change it. Good luck, have fun!
Following up on this, I recommend picking your fights but fighting as much as possible. The longer you put off fighting, and probably dying, the angrier you will be when you die because you don’t know how to fight.
Makes me want to restart another Zomboid save, but I’m waiting for B42 multiplayer :/
Also, if you like Zomboid, keep an eye on the development of Vein, looks very promising!
I’m loving the current unstable beta version. The basements are dope as shit. Especially if you have mods that add random events like air strikes and nukes (like with Week One), making the basements even more useful.
Was watching a YouTuber play Week One, and he was two floors down in a basement. A plane crashed into the building and all his stuff burned anyway. Then the nukes dropped. Total madness.
Hopefully build 42 stable comes out before I’m dead, lol
Basements add a lot of vibe, the map is larger… Phew, I can’t wait until the beta build gets mp enabled!
From the first screenshot I thought it was a remake of Syndicate. Maybe that would be a nice mod, turning project zomboid into Syndicate…
Was the sign accurate? Did it provide more than milk?
It also provided the udders.
