A beloved family-run grocery store in Florida may soon close its doors after more than four decades in business — and the owners say tariffs are to blame.

The trouble began when President Donald Trump’s tariffs took effect, shaking the foundation of small import businesses across the country.

      I take no pleasure in it. I really hope enough of them are capable of learning from their own suffering in 2026 and 2028 to turn this around.

        The majority of them are not capable of learning. These people live fact-less lives. Their worldview is shaped by feeling and what others tell them. There is no use of critical thinking, reflection, scientific method, facts, or figures.

        Unfortunately, they will only learn with a massive amount of pain.
