Day 18!
You’re free to create a separate post for your own stuff if you wish, or you can post it as a comment below (though I’d advise creating a separate post to maximize visibility.) We will corral any individual posts and post them here as a comment when possible. Rinse and repeat.
Rules:
- Please remember to be kind. All skill levels are welcome here.
- AI art is not allowed.
- Submissions must be based on the daily prompt, but either traditional or digital mediums are welcome.
Thank you in advance, and let’s have fun! :)
Deal
A fir or pine board cut to standard dimensions.
I haven’t used my fountain pens for a while now (been all keyboard lately). The ink had all dried up in the tanks, so I just added water. The varying darkness due to that, played well in making the marks on the board.
I found it hard to show the difference between chop-lines and wood-marks.
Also, the fat marks were kinda hard to paint too. Guess a brush would have done that better.
… oops, I didn’t read Rule 3 fully.
Guess I’ll be looking for black ink, next:P
The paper I used, came in a pack of handkerchiefs I bought a while ago.
Haha, rule 3 isn’t that strict - at least not in that way. It’s just meant to keep submissions close to the intended theme of the community (which is images drawn by hand, based on or prompted by the given Inktober prompt word of the day [in October,] or word of the week [in months other than October.])
I think this is great! I love it :) Thank you for participating and submitting! To be clear, though, while we do try to corral Inktober submissions into their relevant Inktober-word posts, I’d advise creating a new post for your submission, separate from the mod-created Inktober “word of the day/week” posts such as this one. It’s better for visibility, both within and outside of the community, and provides better opportunities for discourse and interaction.
