the way i understand it, some failsons in the capital got super into monotheism somehow, and spent a lot of time trying to get their proto-jewish peasants to stop worshipping the many old gods. and that was the start of judaism.

iirc they are a tribe of Canaanites and eventually win out. There is a theory that they practiced Monolatry, the worship of a singular god, but without denying the existence of other deities. The Dead Sea Scrolls mention many sons of Elohim and make mention to the gods of other nations, which are defeated by El.

So these Abrahamic people were a tribe or a displaced people from somewhere and defeated the native Canaanites.
A tribe in the region. Though Yahweh is not from the Levant or Egypt, seems he arrives in Egypt from farther east
