The party of small government and free markets
Is it 40 now? Last I heard it was 20.
Yeah me too…wtf?
News today that the Trump admin is seeking private funding to sweeten the deal to $40B:
There’s also this eye-catcher in the article:
At a White House meeting Tuesday with Milei, Republican President Donald Trump said his administration wanted to help “our neighbors” with the aid package, but he also suggested that the money could be pulled if Milei’s party did not prevail in the Oct. 26 midterm elections.
“If he loses, we are not going to be generous with Argentina,” Trump said.
So this “bailout” is a bribe for the voters in Argentina to support Milei.
MAGA - Make Argentina Great Again
This bailout is honestly mind boggling to me. Argentina is directly competing with embattled American soy bean farmers (due to crop rotation, that’s most of them). Why is Argentina getting a bailout, but not farmers? US soybean exports were ~$25B last year
We need to be hammering this point, because it’s one even conservatives can agree is wrong
Also props up Bessent’s connections’ investments in Argentinian government debt.

rigging the game for this guy to win. USians really want to see Latin America destroyed.
It’s telling that the same people who cut all funding for poverty reduction, education, and AIDS projects in developing countries across the world, suddenly have $20B to spare for this particular piece of foreign aid
