You’re aware that families in europe go on family trips by taking the train across the mountains?
That’s part of the problem, you americans don’t like to think far beyond your horizon (cars). Or maybe you just can’t imagine what a city would look like that is built for pedestrians and public transportation.
I’m from Latin america. There is a single train that goes through my city and has only a few stops. I’d love to take the train. It just doesn’t take me where I need to go. Heck I’ve been looking for an excuse to take one for months
