When I was a kid me and my family had traveled to Utah to see Zion National Park. On the way home we got a late start driving and decided to stay at a hotel on the way home at a place called something along the lines of “The Wagon Wheel” this was around 2005, I was like 12 and this was kind of an odd hotel room somce it was laid out more like a small apartment. The only bathroom was separate from the rest of the room and connected to the bedroom by a short hallway. The light in that hallway didn’t work and heading toward the bathroom there was a locked door on the left (non exterior door with light coming from the crack underneath) and a sliding closet door on the right. As I was going to the bathroom walking down that hallway I felt this absolutely paralyzing feeling of dread like I had never felt before. I managed to get by, go to the bathroom and get back to the livingroom where my family was and mostly brushed that feeling off. We were watching some move on TV and finished it without any further incident. Not long after it was over we were all going to go to bed, and I had mentioned something about that bathroom hallway being weird, which caused my brother to immediately agree and he said that he had the exact same feeling there when he went as well. My mom trying not to scare me amd my brother tried to rationalize it, but also agreed that she felt the same way. We tried to go to bed, but none of use could sleep and we all felt that the feeling was getting worse, and ended up checking out in the middle of the night and finding somewhere else to stay. To this day I have no idea what was wrong or if anything really was, but I’ve never felt like I did standing in that hallway since then.
