what? people told you that you were special once and then stopped? that’s not special, that’s fucking life. actually special people realize that and keep going. actually special people work past the burnout and genuinely achieve things. what some underpaid 25 yo kid told you in elementary school has no bearing on what you could accomplish and blaming your own failures on it is sad and paltry.
i think most people just can’t accept the cognitive dissonance that their exceedingly average and mediocre lives cause them. wow turns out being actually extraordinary requires exceeding and rare qualities/effort that the vast majority of people lack who knew???
