I’m playing Bride and Prejudice and trying to teach Bill Cat to dance.

He is having none of it.

How can he be a decent cat and marry Pyaari if he doesn’t know how to dance.

Bill’s just being a bro. He knows that Ted is sweet on Pyaari and doesn’t want to block his chances

I’ve fallen into a Pyaari hole. I can’t decide if she is really that sweet and docile, or is plotting to leave a deposit in someone’s shoe.

Rebuilding a gate atm. Lotsa little arguments w/ ol’ boy on how to do it. He’s the type where every idea is bad unless it’s his.

Anyway we run into a problem where it needs propping up at the hinge. Not wanting another bs argument I stand back and watch, waiting. 20 mins go by nothing was working.

My old black lab had a kong that’s been outside for probably 20+ years and still in good shape.

So when he turned his back, I chuck the kong under the gate. Perfect height, perfect swivel of the gate. Kong is the same colour as the house looks like it’s always been there. Sturdy af.

He goes back to the gate to try something else… sees the kong, tries the gate, tries it again, looks at the ground and walks away without saying anything.

3 days later the kong is still there lol.

    Felt good.

    Never underestimate the kong.

I hate people that act like that almost as much as I love gloating over them when I’m proven right.

And of course remind them regularly.

One of my goals for the medium term is to learn how to write properly, and that involves researching well. I am dragging myself to academic skills. Stuff AI giving my ideas. I want my brain back if it was there to begin with.

Same - I put it down to the amount of travelling I’ve been doing and the vague upset tummy I had a couple weeks ago. Loaded up today on vitamin D, iron - the two things I get low on first - and ginko which seems to help with post viral shenanigans 💪 . But I suspect its just spring blues. I need Christmas holidays

I had that sore throat dizzy one 2 weeks ago, got palpitations too, and it’s hard to shake, might be some post viral syndrome

Today is 6 months since I stopped taking suboxone.

It was absolutely the best decision I’ve made in a very long time and the benefits have been unbelievable.

When I was looking after elderly gran, my American aunt stated that I probably don’t want to be wasting my life looking after elderly relatives. I thought and replied along the lines of “isn’t looking after relatives one of the main points of life”. But somehow my dad and his siblings having grown up in the States are some of the more selfish got-mine people I’ve ever met.
