There are two types of songs I like to listen to on Youtube: songs only a few days old with just a couple of hundred views, and songs that are like 15 years old with millions of views.
Sometimes Youtube blesses you with a song that is 15 years old and only has a couple of thousand views.
It’s always interesting when a band has been active for so long and just hasn’t put anything new out. Sometimes its because they have bangers they can ride on for that long, or you get a band like Sleep that had written new songs but just not recorded them.
And it’s always interesting to see how close to the old stuff new music sounds after such a long break. Like I feel like with Fear Inoculum it sounded like Tool walked out of the studio in 2006 and just came back and turned everything on in 2019. You couldn’t tell there was like 13 years between them, and not in the best way exactly.

I like bands that have had more than a decade between albums.
Always ends up being an interesting album.

Agreed on all points.
I love Tool but that album wasn’t great. I listened to it twice then never again.
I’ll take lateralus, undertow and aenima any day of the week.
