    A game like that kind of exists, it’s called Rusted Moss. Be noted that the rope mechanic is kind of janky thanks to the rope being elastic.

      I absolutely loved Rusted Moss!!! I’m not even a huge metroidvania fan, but that game made movement so fun that the usual slog of running back through locations you’ve already been was honestly fun for me.

      Also the world/setting of Fae taking the realm over again was really cool imo. Highly recommend to anyone
