There needs to be an alternative that WORKS first and foremost. Most Oneplus 6s are getting worn down, what am I going to run Linux on? Because Linux on most phones doesn’t give you a functional phone at all.

There is, its called a nokia. You can pick up any old 00s phone and youre good to go. Reachable and able to make phone calls. Or, and this will be fun, you can go with out. Society managed just fine for a very long time without being always reachable. Time to put the glass and metal brick down.
