If Linux phones become viable, I’m willing to pay half the salary of the engineer who develops the Linux equivalent of Android Auto and Apple Carplay. As long as they live and work in a really cheap country lol

There needs to be an alternative that WORKS first and foremost. Most Oneplus 6s are getting worn down, what am I going to run Linux on? Because Linux on most phones doesn’t give you a functional phone at all.

How do you expect me to switch to an OS that on some devices might not let me make phone calls?

There is, its called a nokia. You can pick up any old 00s phone and youre good to go. Reachable and able to make phone calls. Or, and this will be fun, you can go with out. Society managed just fine for a very long time without being always reachable. Time to put the glass and metal brick down. Well, if standing up to fascism is important to you that is… But we both know the answer, dont we?

Exactly. There will never be a convenient alternative for people like this, so they’ll just continue using Google and Apple while angrily scrolling through their news feeds.
