Folks this is frequently debated in the comments and so today we decide democratically whether we add a new rule.
Do we allow AI aneurysms.
Reasons to ban: It’s AI.
Reasons not to ban: It’s funny.
I know I’ve made very long lists of reasons there but please take a moment to read them all.
To decide upvote one of the 2 comments I leave in this post. I will be looking at the upvotes for the decision not the net votes, as that allows double voting.
I will leave the post unlocked just incase someone wishes to add anything to the conversation.
I will keep the vote going for a week just to be safe. This community has nearly 3k subscribers and I know many won’t see it for a while. (Btw incredible growth in this community!)
you could require posters to put [AI] in the title.
That’s a good middle ground.
I will be accepting upvotes on this comment as an option as well.
I like this.
There was a post on /r/chstgpt (ew, Reddit) where some guy asked what happened when his potato salad was out in a salad spinner at 30,000rpm and it was the funniest thing I’ve ever read.
It would be a shame to lose the aneurysm equivalent.
I’m fucking dying. This is gold.
Ban AI content.
Are we talking posts of AI shitting the bed, or shit posts intentionally generated with AI? I also like the idea of labeling.
AI shitting the bed in the aneurysm style. Deliberately creating aneurysms is just a no no to me. Ai or otherwise (except for the meta posts I make)
Groovy. Seems like we’re on the same page. Thank you for your service.
Idk, posting AI hallucination is such a low hanging fruit i don’t even think its funny.
Edit: on second thought, maybe mandatory labelling would be nice too. How should i vote for this?
Up vote the comment by quinny coded
Aight.
Allow AI content.
Personally I find the AI posts funny too. For example the second most upvoted post on this community is an image generated by ai and one of my favourite posts on this community.
