I anime gun games especially with badass chicks. However, I am annoyed that you have to play them online constantly. Are there any games that have an offline mode to play that’s in the same genre as Anime girls with guns?l

Not even joking but the second I read the name the theme kicked in in my head: Bayonetta, you mystery 🎵
I love this game so much and I’ll always defend it against all the eye candy accusations. I wholeheartedly believe if you spend any time trying to play this game the way it was meant to be played (guided by the manual and official guide) you’ll never be able to see Bayonetta other than one of the most badass action game protagonists of all-time.
Why? What’s wrong with the game being unashamedly eye candy?
ISTG I hate this entirely american puritanical “can’t have fun sexy things” horseshit.
The character design is literally Kamiya and Nakamura’s fetish fuel, they themselves reported vibing super hard on the character design and insisting sexy librarian glasses were a must.
It’s one of the best action games of all time, its presentation is deliberately excessive in every way, that includes hypersexualization, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Also this implication that being a badass somehow overrides being hot? Excuse me? Since when? If there’s anything that enhances hotness, that is hypercompetence.
Being incredible at something so effortlessly that you still look stunning while doing it is a force multiplier, not a contradiction.
People who don’t play the game often accuse Bayonetta of being nothing but eyecandy, as if her sexuality is superfluous and has nothing to do with her being badass.
I don’t really know what this has got to do with anything I said.
I didn’t imply this.
I never said it is.
Not what you initially said.
The implication was that being eye candy at all was in itself an accusation it needed defending from, which is where I extrapolated the rest.
Good if that wasn’t what you meant, but this is an extremely common talking point so I don’t think me coming to that conclusion was unwarranted from the context.
Excuse me for not knowing I was gonna be dealing with you in the comments. Seems like everyone else understood what I meant.
IDK, it’s pretty obvious I’m a fan of the game… I literally say “I love this game so much” in my comment. Your coming to conclusion that I have any problem with Bayonetta’s sexualization is pretty bizarre in that context. Kinda feels like you zoomed in on one part that didn’t make sense to you and ignored the rest of my comment instead of rechecking your understanding.
You even went as far as bringing your personal vendetta against “American puritanical horseshit” into it for some reason? Even though the game is Japanese and you have no clue what my nationality is. Just odd all around, TBH.
