NC has had a GOP majority in both legislative bodies since 2011, with a supermajority for much of that time. The democrats haven’t had a say in NC legislature for 14 years.
If we are going to politicize this event, the only direction to point fingers is to the right.
Tbf their governor has been a democrat since 1993, with the exception of 2013-2017. Even before then it had a long line of mostly democrats, from 1901-1973 was solid D governors, and even after that, R only holds the seat for a total of 18 out of 52 years.

But there was a Democrat voter within 12 miles of the tramsportation depot!
