A video showing what looks to be a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer yelling at a Canadian tourist to “never come to the U.S. again” is being investigated by the CBP.

The 39-second video, uploaded to social media sites, was taken from inside a vehicle travelling south on highway I90 in New York State, a few kilometres from the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge that connects Queenston, Ont., with Lewiston, N.Y.

I’ve never met a CBP official that was polite, efficient or professional. It looks like they are scraping the bottom of the barrel to find these people.

Oh, my, it’s far worse than that.

Border guards (in almost any nation) are those the police rejected and the prisons rejected.

They’re not good enough to be PRISON GUARDS.

        Let that sink in.

… imagine a country where there are so many prison guards that this statement has any meaning.

You don’t have to imagine it. Just look to the USA. IIRC it is the country that has the largest proportion of its population behind bars.

They’ve been scraping the bottom of the Cracker Barrel for a while now to find their “qualified and professional” brown shirts.

in my experience, the grand majority are either assholes or just terrible to deal with. but there have been a handful of genuinely nice people, and another handful of neutral

very much overshadowed by the assholes though
