That comic is basically alien speak if you don’t know a very specific variation of that meme. It doesn’t even leave a clue that it might be a reference to something, and it’s practically nothing but a reference.

Anyway, I also read some comics that have issues that make no sense to me (the Farside) from time to time when they show on my feed. Humor is context specific and that’s fine.
