I used to say “Welcome to Lemmy” to new joiners, but nowadays quite a few of them join Piefed instance, having a generic term is easier
You can’t follow Mastodon users from Lemmy or Piefed, using “Fedivers” seems too generic

I’ve seen the arguments about Forumverse that the Lemmy/Mbin/Piefed format isn’t really a forum (think NobeBB or Discourse) either

I know Latin, unfortunately most people don’t and aren’t going to make a connection from Fora to Forum, they might even think about Flora faster then Forum
Is there a link with the word foraging or are they unrelated ?
Althought it is a english word, that they probably don’t share the same root, there may be a slight chance.
