Much like nearly everyone else in the country I’d say, I haven’t spoken or exposed myself to the Irish language since my leaving cert ~10 years ago so I’m very rusty

I’ve been getting an itch lately to get back into it and hopefully get to a casual conversational level again

Anybody else in a similar boat looking to get their cúpla focal in? Probably not likely with less than 1000 users, but figured I’d put it out there.

I’d like to extend that also to anyone reading this who may be learning the language at any stage and looking for practice - whether you are born Irish or not, currently living here or planning to move, or just curious - tá fáilte roimh chách

Súil agam labhairt libh, a chairde 🤝

💚🤍🧡

Ah, fáilte! 👋 Tá sé beagáinín bríomhar anois!

Táim ag cleachtadh le Duolingo faoi láthar agus tá gach rud ag teacht ar ais dom lol

Absolutely mental to be ag caint le Gaeilgóirí eile on the fediverse considering it’s not a hugely popular/mainstream platform yet

      tharr barr! 🤩

ar chuala tú faoi sionnach.app? tá sé fós i mbéite / in beta, ach is acmhainn eile é sin fosta, le gach canúint ar fáil.

(and if you don’t use google chrome, you can use a user agent switcher to spoof it to still use sionnach 😎)

it’s wild! agus tá sé ar fheabhas to see :D
