I rarely take seriously headlines saying “Politician X caused the cost of living to go up” or “Politician Y caused unemployment to go up” because they often had no control over the complex unpredictable forces that move the market in a certain direction, like COVID and all they can do is try to nudge the economy a little.
But in this case, it is 100% directly caused by Trump and Trump alone.

Remember yall. Wealthy people don’t care how expensive things get. Eggs could literally cost $100k each and it wouldn’t impact their quality of life. They’ll keep artificially rasing the price of everything forever. That’s all they know.
Not much of a worry for them when they’re making $99,999.85 off of you for every egg.
Really, the Democrats need to put up a budget that implements a “tariff” on the richest 1% in their stopgap budget. Everyone would support that.
