“committed suicide by injecting cyanide into an apple” oh ffs who believes this shit
So irritated with people repeating the cover story. He was murdered by Military Intelligence and it’s fucking blatant, stop letting them off the hook.
This has been an impromptu vent. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
It may comfort you to know that if you Google it, it says he was sentenced to death for being in a gay relationship. It doesn’t bring the guy back but at least the truth is the first result.
Oh it gets worse, he was forced to agree to be chemically castrated as an alternative to execution.
It’s the most obvious cover up ever! The bourgeouis fascists never cared about him, no matter how much he did for not just his country, but the world and science as a whole. All they cared about is the press of a gay man helping end the war…
I think the official story is not that he committed suicide but that he accidentally poisoned himself in the course of research, and the suicide story has just sort of been perpetuated in pop culture as a “tragic gays” narrative to make his death romantic (in the broader sense of the word).
I’ve never seen reason to believe he was murdered, though I’m not saying you’re wrong.
No? His death was officially ruled a suicide and so no actual investigation was ever conducted.
I don’t know what sort of “research” involves a cyanide injected apple unless it has something to do with talking mirrors.
The apple wasn’t injected with cyanide. Turing had electroplating chemicals in his spare room that weren’t stored properly, and he either inhaled it or it got on his nightly apple. That’s according to the accidental poisoning position that the forensic investigator also said was a possibility. But I wouldn’t doubt he was murdered and had an elaborate cover up.
woah, I’d love to hear you expand. Any sources? First I’ve heard of this conspiracy
Roger Bristow wrote an entire book about it and as far as I know every UK publisher outright refused to publish it. So… there’s that.
Why though? Did he know something he shouldn’t?
