My understanding is that Cubans are the largest Hispanic Republican voting block due to the lingering betrayal by Kennedy during the Bay of Pigs invasion. Where Kennedy denied the Cuban liberation further air support than was promised during the attack to free Cuba which led to their eventual defeat.
We can only hope this latest betrayal by Trump will flip these sentiments back for the new generation.
