This is just trying to play nice with investors and/or advertisers.

I said government for brevity, the super rich and corporations control the government and they both have their hooks in. The lawmakers have been threatening to jam them up in multiple ways if they do not cave to pressure which they have. Such as agency sending lists of accounts to ban for unrelated reasons. Or allowing some allies of the politicians too get a pass on moderation while taking a hard line against other voices online. Or allowing connected influence operations free reign.
Whether it’s for brevity or directly, you’re wrong.
This reads like someone that hasn’t been unbanked, sued by everyone, DDoSed, Doxed, IDF’d, and hunted by Interpol.
