It takes me so long to find one that works, then it somehow or another becomes unusable, and I never remember what kind of pillow it was and where I got it

Just bought a new pillow yesterday after giving up on the last one I tried for a few months. I find myself switching between two different pillows every few nights, until eventually I give up on one of them and try another. Rinse and repeat
