“I think that speaks for itself,” the governor said.

Cox reported that another casing had “Bella ciao” written on it, an apparent reference to a WWII-era Italian anti-fascist song. Another casing had the message, “If you read this, you are gay LMAO,” Cox said.

Additional, unfired bullets had phrases from video games and internet memes written on them. One read “Up arrow, right arrow, and three down arrow symbols,” a possible reference to commands entered on a controller that call in a bomb in the video game “Helldivers.” A separate casing read, “Notices bulges OWO what’s this?”

This is such a bullshit story, based on the words of one republican governor

People keep saying engraved, I don’t know if this is subtle narrative or something, but I can almost guarantee nothing was engraved on the case or the bullet. Written with a ultra-fine sharpie, all of these phrases would easily fit on a 30.06 case, they’re almost two and half inches long and I don’t know the diameter of the case itself but its bigger than the .308, which is fairly girthy

fine sharpie makes much more sense. I wish they’d just release pictures of it, but especially after the United Healthcare > MN school shooter > this guy chain, they probably want to discourage copycats.

Though copy cat kind of implies the crimes are similar, which I don’t agree with.

I could see similarities if the CK shooter was left wing, current news is saying he’s an ultra right wing nut who thought Kirk wasn’t far right enough, but who actually knows. I doubt we’ll know the truth of any of this for a while or at all. It took weeks for factual info to come out about Luigi, and there’s still doubt about the info’s validity.

What are you upset about exactly? Do you think they’re lying? They might be. He stuck up for the trans community though, that’s something, ig. Does that governor have a history of lying? I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’d like to know what you’re pissed about.

Cox generally doesn’t lie, he’s disappointing because he doesn’t do what he says he believes in because he’s worried about veto overrides. He’s kind of a crappy governor, but not a liar.

“Inscribed bullets” is a real convenient excuse to push sway public opinion. Have they released pictures of said bullets? No? What about the ones Luigi allegedly used?

You’re not wrong, they should release them. Also, to be clear, they’re the casings, not the actual bullets.

The governor of Utah doesn’t seem hip enough to know what the inscriptions would mean. If they’re fake, he was probably duped too or went along with whatever the cops told them they said.

Not sure why he said they weren’t transgender though specifically. It’s definitely an odd situation.

The WSJ posted an article about the fact that the casings have references to transgender rights or something similar, he’s shooting that consistency theory down

Russia, China ‘Bots’ Want Violence After Charlie Kirk Killing: Governor

“There is a tremendous amount of disinformation we are tracking,” Cox said. “What we’re seeing is our adversaries want violence.”

“We have bots from Russia, China, all over the world, that are trying to instill misinformation and encourage violence. I would encourage you to ignore those, to turn off those streams,” he said.

So someone unfamiliar with furry memes might think it refers to an unexpected bulge in a trans woman’s pants? I guess?

Okay, but there’s every reason to think the department investigating this has been purged of anyone not a self-declared Republican. Because as a reminder, that’s a thing that Trump’s regime has explicitly done (or try to do) govt-wide.
