I’d bet good money that Trey and Matt had nothing to do with this decision nor were they ever consulted.
Comedy Central decided to pull the episode (which is silly).
If you’ve watched the new season you’d know Trey and Matt do not give a fuck about something like this.

All they did was pull the rerun that was supposed to air yesterday. These articles are just rage bait.
It’s plenty available on the high seas. Considering what they are going after this season, and what CBS did to Colbert, I think it’s good practice to keep a backup of each episode.
You can also find a YouTube short on his YT channel where he live reacts to himself in the episode. I don’t think he really got it.
