They finally went full width with that goddamn camera bump, a move that could radically improve the physical user experience by finally allowing this thing to rest evenly on a flat surface. Then, they put another set of camera bumps on the camera bump to ensure that it never does this. Honestly, this is like an elaborate, slow rolling practical joke at this point.
The lenses already protruded like this. They use more real estate inside the device now, though, and it rolls less than before. An improvement is there :)
