I’ve been after kingfisher photos for a long time, and previously only have had very blurry ones. Today my luck changed! The bird was still quite a distance away, but I’m still delighted with the results.

      Never mind the cost, feel the weight …

      Unfortunately, weight in a camera lens is not a good thing.

            Crazy, that it weighs less while offering 200mm more zoom. But I got my sigma for 600€, so I can’t complain

              I’m sure there’s a variety of “solutions” to the optical problem of this sort of zoom, with differing cost, weight, numbers of lens, stabilisation, optical distortion, and distortion from amount of glass on the paths.

              And if the bird isn’t in the right place at the right time, none of it matters :)
