Sekiro. It’s polished, trimmed of a lot of the RPG fat that wasn’t really necessary, more visually readable than Bloodborne (which is imo the biggest problem with that game), sincerely challenging, and a lot of fun. It might be the best game Fromsoft will ever make.
I haven’t played it myself because I fear my reflexes and gamer skill aren’t to par, but that was going to be my answer too. From what I’ve seen and heard from people Sekiro is pretty flawless in the execution of its design goals, and distills the essence of the idea of the genre into its perhaps purest form yet.
