Arms manufacturers fund the whole media sphere to heighten fear by saying Americans need to buy guns to protect themselves from other Americans. Without the gun industry, there is no astroturf “2A community” What you’re really hearing is “The gun industry doesn’t like this idea, because it will hurt their profits” Although in the case of transfolk, yes it is proven just being trans is more dangerous in America, particularly if you’re both colored and trans and arming oneself is actually justified. retracted Edit: LGBTQ+ are even more disproportionately affected by gun violence when a gun is present in the home.
