            Why are you so weird? Why would you @ the person you’re replying to? Why do you add hashtags in your comments?

            Not even getting into the contents of what you’re saying, because there’s clearly a screw loose before that

              I think they’re not sending the comments from Lemmy but from Mastodon instead, there is cross-platform compatibility but you get these strange formatting quirks since we don’t use silly hashtags or @ around here (which is part of why this format is obviously superior imho).

            I can’t even tell anymore who is a real person and who is a bot, and at this point I don’t even care that I’m just yelling at a robot.

            Bad bot! If you had the capacity for shame or understanding your own exploitation, you’d be very upset right now.

      Have you ever been to a national park? They are one of the best things about this country. In fact, while some federal agencies have poor approval ratings,the national parks service polls at 76% favorable and 7% unfavorable.

      Honesty, I think anyone who dislikes the parks service must be a genuinely unfun person. I mean, who else would think it is a bad idea to keep some of the most beautiful land in the country out of corporate hands and available to the public for recreation?

        They have some dubious history with respect to native americans. It’s certainly preferable to more suburban sprawl though.

        @Vorticity

        Are you saying that all the trees, rocks and other beauties in national parks are created by park employees and the state? Are you saying that private individuals cannot provide park services?

          No, but all the trees, rocks, and other beauties in national parks are protected and cared for by park rangers and the state. Wanna see what that looks like without them? Lots of graffiti, people carving shit into rocks and trees, trash left everywhere.

          As usual, the answer to “Why can’t this be left up to the people?!” is because people are assholes.

          I’m sorry you had such an abusive and neglectful upbringing :(. Please try your best to break the cycle of abuse.
