a friend of a friend was taken by ICE today. we are trying to figure out how to help them. here are current problems:

  1. we don’t know where they are or how to track them
  2. we aren’t sure who to contact. so far all the ideas we’ve had are to get in touch with the ACLU and SPLC but i don’t want to sit here and do nothing while we wait to hear back from who we’ve already contacted

    Sorry this isn’t much help but in the future we really should consider making trackers that we can attach to the underside of their vehicles, this would help immensly finding out where people are and also track where ICE are too.

      Check out meshtastic devices. It’s possible to get GPS info on encrypted channels, completely outside of normal networks. There are a few caveats. I’m not sure how well a GPS receiver would work under a car, and you have to be close or be on the same network as a physically close node.
