Gibson is going for an operation tomorrow where she’ll be under anaesthetic and tbh I’m pretty worried.

It’s got to be done but yeah, fluffball is a real important part of my life and yeah. It’s stressful.

i have nowhere else to bitch to but listen to this bullshit that i have to go through in fucking perth for an ADHD diagnosis (transferred from NYC). i get the referral in june and submit it to the ADHD clinic of WA that shows availability from july. they tell me it takes upwards of 8 weeks to get the referral accepted. this took 10 weeks, they accepted. in order for me to book an appointment i need to pay a $200 deposit. i pay the $200 deposit, and the first appointment isn’t until the middle of january.

    i’m fucking FURIOUS AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

It’s probably because there has been a flood of ADHD and Autism diagnosis requests in the last few years due to greater awareness. And it takes 10+ years to train a psychiatrist. So there’s a sudden massive demand but no extra specialists. I know that doesn’t help the frustration but at least it might help explain the wait times.

That’s so shit seeing as you have a diagnosis already. Surely there is a way instead of getting rediagnosed? Do you already take meds?

If it’s any comfort, hust know that the places that have a shorter turnaround time are often shit.

Case in point. I waited like two months for my ADHD diagnosis through a clinic that did virtual appointments. Got diagnosed in half an hour. They gave me the wrong dose of medication and let’s just say, it was not a good time. Now I’m going to start a medication that the GP could’ve prescribed in the first place. The whole system is bonkers.

Three weeks done in new hard job type. Now additional support is removed BUT I’m not longer having these tasks sent to me as a high priority, so now I’m getting way more normal things in combination with the hard things which is very nice. It was like 1 in 2 and now it’s more like 1 in 10. Much more chill than first three weeks when it was just hard new thing all the time

First time beer battered calamari rings tonight.

I’m sold on doing it that way now and not panko.

Double frying which was scary in case you end up w/ a gumboot, but it actually worked.

So far it’s all smooth sailing with using my friend to help me with some business design stuff. It’s much easier explaining what you need to someone who already gets the way you think. They also seem really excited to be working together again, we made a good work duo in our past job. So fingers crossed it stays all positive.

Man, indie game trailers are a real rabbithole on Youtube. You watch one and keep getting suggested more. They all look interesting but I don’t have the time

Got offered the job from the interview on Friday. Now just to decide if I actually want to take it. My replacement is starting for my current role on Thursday.

    beach

    I need that calming.

the rhythms of the maintenance work around the beach, the fishermen, the bait catchers, people out for walks, joggers, dogs

all the wild life, the tides and weather,

being in it so many days a week you get to know it and get into the rhythm too

    it’s nice

I love cats. Hoping to become the eccentric cat person I wanted to be as a kid.

I just wish I was rich so I could afford to adopt the old babies and have help as I got older

Mickey is a little fiend for these dental treats, he absolutely loves them.

I guess I’ll go to petbarn and grab a massive tub of them. They’re the only treat he really begs for 😂
