because whilst people want old white men out of politics, people also want his kind of politics in government and he’s the only one principled enough to have fought for it long term

a single attribute doesn’t entirely nullify all other positive attributes… things are grey; not binary

if you want to make a difference in politics in the US, you either become a democrat president or a republican president. the US has a 2 party system: that’s just reality. there’s no way an independent ever becomes president

and simply being a democrat doesn’t make someone evil either… again, thinking 3rd parties are going to change anything at all in an FPTP system is ignorant of the realities of how the system works… so you are either not a politician, a democrat, a republican, or siphoning votes from your ideologically closest major candidate thus damaging the ideology you’re purporting to fight for… there’s only 2 choices: give up and let the neoliberal shit show win the game, or be a democrat

Lemmy is full of the opposite of what you’re saying, the American left decided that democrats are worse than trump, anyone with a D may as well have a swastika if you look at the threads when a Democrat finally fights back.

End of the day i just want your country to die honestly, karma for what you did to me and countless others

well, i’m not american… i assume that’s what you mean, since there’s not often a lot of hate for australia

and i think that people are allowed to have both nuanced opinions of others, and act in nuanced ways
