When your understanding doesn’t account for verifiable phenomenon, your understanding is incomplete. Science progresses by accepting this truth and seeking to complete our understanding, but it is not how we are primed to think. We cling desperately to flawed understandings because letting go of them requires a ton of mental adjustment. They’d need to change so much of how they’re wired to understand the social world, so unless they have the motivation, they simply won’t do it.
My friend said, “I believe in only two genders. Should I be cancelled?”
I was like, I think you mean sexes. But you know there are others like those that are born with both right?
“Yes but they’re anomalies”
“But you know there are more than two sexes.”
“Yes they’re a minority, what’s wrong with my statement?”
“…”
I kind of left it at that, it was like 3am and I needed sleep.

“The Jews were a minority in 1945 Germany”. Make them explain how it’s different or be an open holocaust denier, win win.
Obviously minority lives don’t matter, that’s why I only believe in one race, white people.
There are only two races. Han and Bhil.
