As far as I know the basis of fed coming in and saying something even as mundane as, “Nevada needs to be audited to make sure non-citizens aren’t voting” is blatantly unconstitutional. As a matter of fact, a state could change their constitution to allow non-citizens to vote and it would be fully legal because the state ultimately decides how their electoral votes are applied, not fed.
Don’t forget its fucking Trump so think of the worst case scenario and then multiple it by 100. If it’s too stupid, evil or cruel, you’re on the right path.
If they’ve done this in NV, they’ve definitely done it elsewhere, and solidly red states may comply without saying anything.
