A South Florida lawmaker says it may be time to do away with homeowners associations altogether, as more Floridians speak out about rising fees, costly lawsuits, and even arrests tied to HOA disputes.
Seems they want to spin those off into opt-in private clubs where you pay dues. Which i guess is fine for single family detached houses, idk how this could manage building maintenance for multi-unit buildings though.
So… just stop maintaining common areas? Communal utilities? Water, sewage, trash, electricity, internet, etc?
