People are too hard on Janeway. She didn’t have great options here. I’m sure if she could have, she would have sacrificed Ensign Kim - for not refilling the coffee replicator.
You know you’re right. when considering the problem of Tuvix, have we considered sacrificing an Ensign Kim to the pattern buffer and seeing if things just work themselves out?
Yeah I agree. The whole point was that it’s a difficult moral quandry, and we’re still talking about it decades later.
Gotta give props to her for running the transporter herself, rather than ordering someone else to do it.
I do wish they’d done more follow up with Tuvok and Neelix afterwards - how did they feel about it? Presumably they both have the memories of what happened.
Should’ve duplicated Tuvix in the transpoter then seperated the other one. This achieves all goals:
- Nelix and Tuvak are back.
- Janeway slaughters a Tuvix
And, the Janeway!
