38 pound cat stuck in a shoe rack looking like he regrets his life decisions.

Abusers having psychiatric problems does not absolve them of their abusive behaviour.

There wouldn’t be so many deeply unhealthy pets, children and otherwise dependent people in the world, if this was so obvious to everyone.

So you went ahead and assumed you needed to explain that to the person you replied to. K.

I don’t understand why you’re mad at me for contributing to this discussion with something relevant to this topic.

I didn’t assume anything negative about the person I replied to.

You however are clearly assuming negative stuff about me and have gotten upset with me over these assumptions.

(Edited for spelling/grammar as my phone keyboard updated into something stupid recently and adds/miscorrects random letters/words now)

When you tell people obvious things, sometimes it comes across as condescending. From the downvotes it’s clear I’m not the only person to see it that way

I’ve seen too many threads about obese pets where people with obese pets make excuses for their abuse and normalise their behaviour amongst themselves.

Pointing out ‘the obvious’ and calling it abuse whenever I see these threads, has become part of how I interact online and something I appreciate when I see others do it.

I genuinely didn’t realise that the users here were so in agreement with this viewpoint as to find it condescending to see it pointed out. This is really nice to hear, despite the downvotes.
