Arnold Schwarzenegger’s father was a MP for the Nazis. He was physically abusive to Arnold, whose childhood in his native country after the war was fuckin’ rough, and as a young man Arnold had basically no money and no prospects to his name other than a handful of people around him who believed in him. Among the dreams he had since he was a little kid was being able to move to the United States and have a free and rewarding life there.

He’s aware of the dream of democracy and freedom and what it means in a way that’s a hell of a lot more impactful on him than almost all native-born people and certainly most people in Washington. He can hear his disgust for Trump and everything he stands for in every one of these. His speech after January 6th, where he takes out the Conan the Barbarian sword and talks about what democracy means to him, is fuckin’ dynamite.

He has something you might call, perspective.

Everyone feels oppressed until they experience real oppression. I hope people are actually learning something and not clinging to some bad faith argument about how this is the cheeto breaking his word and being a bad apple. This is exactly what he promised. He told everyone exactly what he would do and enough people thought, that’s a great idea, but it will never affect me! Then had your friends, neighbors, employees, and ice cream men, deported for no reason other than not being born in the USA. He stripped healthcare and a lot of people lost access to treatments and the help they desperately need, just like he said he would.

Arnold knows how bad things could be, and he’s using whatever platform he can to make whatever impact he can to prevent it from getting worse.

      Arnold is a legend.

      Drumph, is a schmuck.

He’s speaking to who Trump admires as the greatest president. The 80s were good to Trump because of Reagan.

Let’s not forget that Arnold was a republican while he was governor of California. He didn’t really share many of the party’s stances, but he might actually like Reagan.

When arguing with Republicans, using democratic talking points just gets you a fake news. You need to point out how they’re forsaking their OWN values and it’s not a stretch that Reagan would roll over in his grave. Think of him what you wish, but if you need to use a hammer to break their thick skulls, recognize it for the tool that it is.

No he doesn’t. They feuded in the past. Trump made fun of Arnold’s lower ratings when he took over The Apprentice and the show got canceled.

There are plenty of people who have an issue with Arnold. I am one of them who thinks he did some damage however even if you disagree with the bad a person does, you can still agree and admire them for the good they do.

It’s all perspective, and I am glad he is speaking out.
