In Lesser Carolina the teacher is fully armed with multiple concealed guns to show all the ways to conceal. After the classroom session you head out to the range to get tested on marksmanship at different distances.
My class in Wisconsin was this way as well. The classroom portion focused heavily on trying to avoid needing to use your gun, but if you have to, do these things.
Honestly I’d prefer that sorta. Here you get your CC without ever touching a gun, but when I first shot pistols and rifles it was nothing like I expected.
I also quickly learned I’m a terrible aim, so in self defense would likely need to go with a shotgun or something…

Oh wow.
Mine in Minnesota was the same way. They have to verify that you can comptently use a firearm before they give you the concealed carry permit.

Yeah, for our class, we had to get a minimum number of shots on the target at 10 yards if I’m remembering correctly.
In self defense pulling out a gun and shooting towards the direction of an assailant should be more than enough to give you GTFO-time.
