Interesting. I’ll have to give them a go. I’ve only recently gone to Aldi for an actual shop (as opposed to for the centre aisle specials, or to pick up one or two things) for pretty much the first time.
I find that cwntre aisle such an interesting concept, and it’s popularity eeven more interesting.
Like, a bunch of random specials available only in certain periods of a season or year; of varying medium to low quality loss leaders.
When you compare it to the on-demand, delivered to your door, web based stores its surprising to see the model survives and thrive, and also really popular creating a buzz.
Their ginger stem biscuits are the best ginger bikkies on the market. Their mid-tier chocolate range (the choceur ones) are far better than the Cadbury-tier stuff and 60% the price.
Most of their stuff falls into the ‘not as good, but good enough for half the price’ category though.
