Most of what you say has been my own experience here in the South. I’ve often commented that the lack of gay hate is why they’re going after trans folks. Original plan ran out of steam.

Evil always does the ouroboros thing. :)

Yes, it takes time, and I know how frustrating that is to the young, but we’ve come a long way in a couple of decades.

Things will get worse, then get better, then worse again. This is merely human history.

It’s because it’s never had anything to do with sexuality or gender and everything to do with hating things that you don’t understand and people using that hate to incite fear. First it was freeing slaves, then it was women and their rights, then it was black people and their rights, then it was interracial marriage, then it was gay marriage, and now it’s trans rights. Some of these groups have been fighting for their rights for generations and still have to fight for them on a daily basis. And once these people get rid of one they will go after the others and it’s exactly why we need to defend everyone when their rights are in danger. Sure, you may not care about body autonomy and transgender rights, but it’s only a matter of time before they decide what you are is “wrong” and will come for you.
