“Your current practices leave women vulnerable to life-altering violence,” the lawmakers said. “It’s past time to act.”

The imposters need to be caught and dealt with legally. If people pretend to be a State Trooper they don’t tell the State Troopers to dress differently. They arrest the criminals.

Finding people pretending to be state troopers is made easier because troopers don’t wear fucking face masks.

How are the State Troopers or Police supposed to know who they’re supposed to catch and arrest? I mean, I’m fully onboard with them rounding up everyone dressed as an ICE agents, taking them on a nice long ride back to headquarters and checking out their so-called credentials. Every time they go out to assault and kidnap people. If they claim to be the same ICE agents from yesterday, make them show their faces in front of the crowd unless they’re willing to go back to HQ again. Because they could still be unlicensed thugs rather than the licensed thugs.

None of this gets at the root of the problem, but it would slow them down and put the cops and state troopers in the position of defending the innocent asylum seekers and undocumented workers, instead of being in cahoots with the thugs.

And they might very well catch some other abusive criminals as well!

The problem is that an “ICE uniform” is literally just street clothes and a mask; they’re not identifiable. ICE aren’t being told to “dress differently”, they’re being told to stop disguising themselves as civilians.
