Back in 2016 the final episode was called “The end of serialisation” because the election of Trump (the first time) had fucked all their plans for the season.
Oh yeah that definitely fucked their plans. But I am not even talking about a season long plot, just the stories in the episodes itself have no point to it. It just ends.
I’ve seen a few people say this weeks ending was abrupt. For me, I didn’t see it that way.
The plot was Mr Mackey’s journey.
Highly condensed version:
Whilst counselling Clyde for his behaviour, Mr Mackey is fired. He joins ICE through desperation. Working there he does awful things but gets rewarded with a trip to mar-a-lago. When there he sees he is working for a literal Satan lover. That’s when it all hits home, and he then discovers Clyde is in the same situation as him, doing awful things because he’s desperate. Mackey rescues Clyde and they escape together with Dora the Explorer. End of episode, but Trump and his friends continue to party on.
There was a plot, with sides of puppy killing and fantasy island.
