-No its not, there is literally no difference between any other kind apartment building! The only issue with it was that it was kinda ugly; which was solved by repaintings (kinda like in the pic, tho that building is very much so ran down) -If it was, which again its not, it would beat homelessness! It was also meant as a temporary solution, a goof one for its time as it had gas, electricity and running when that was not common

I lived in the panel houses in east germany in the 90s. They were terrible in insulation both sound and heat. You could talk to your neighbour while on the toilet. Mould loved to collect in the hallways as those did not ventilate. I could go on

I live in post soviet block, it’s refurbished so it’s not ugly and grayish and the quality is sooo much better than my previous apartment. My previous apartment was from 2013 and you could literally hear your neighbour cooking, cleaning, talking. In my current flat there’s no issues like that.

They redid the whole interior? Like what thickness is an interior wall in your place? Where I lived it was like 10cm.

they didn’t, the building was just of good quality. I think it really just depends on the country and region. I live in a huge city so that might be why the building is of good quality… but also in my country these blocks are known for being solid.

And I lived in 5 different panels, in between of other apartments and a suburban house

And I never had such issues despite living in a much poorer country, Hungary

This comment is stupid. Panel houses have no insulation (acoustic or thermal), are exxxtra small, have bad layouts.

        Also: roaches

-They do? Internally every single house has such installations? You don’t even need a hAnd local govs have been running large scale refurbishing for decades now! -They aren’t particularly small? How large do you want inner city housing blocks? -They don’t necessarily have bad layouts? Are we just making semi-random statements? Your mum smells like Argentinian crackers -You can have roaches anywhere, your bad experience, once again, is not a wayward point

You either had a bad experience in one, or you don’t have a singular fucking clue what you are on about and are cussing at the ugly grey buildings
