      His movies are forgettable. He’s like Jay Leno, popular beyond all reason for having done nothing meaningful.

        His early work is good. Bananas, Sleeper, Annie Hall. Manhattan gets a mention for Allen being so cringing self aware that he made a movie about dating someone inappropriately younger.

        Like Leno he has a reputation based entirely from those few early years. But most comics never even get an early reputation.

          Being rich, owning a yacht and knowing Castro really aren’t that uncommon. It’s a fairly common travel spot if you sail and Castro weirdly enough by all accounts is a natural host. You’re not supposed to go there as a us citizen but I’m pretty sure Epstein kept dual.

          That doesn’t discount possible weird stuff but it’s not that crazy by itself.

            That’s the thing about the honeypot, you get someone rich to have parties and other rich and powerful people come to them. Even if it is just a normal rich person party then you name is on a list or your picture is taken.

            Then later when the crazy disgusting parties are uncovered, you have the normie rich people’s names involved as well as the Trumps and Dershowitz, so now you don’t know who is a regular rich asshole and who is a rich over the pants sexual molestor rich asshole.

          As an anarchist:

          Libertarian socialism has had the same problem “libertarian” capitalism has had for a while, it’s filled with pedos who just want the state to let them fuck kids.

          It’s more prevalent in older types which Chomsky definitely qualifies as, this isn’t surprising.

          It very well might indeed explain why he’s following Putin’s marching orders though.

    So many people connected to that guy. Makes me wonder if he only offered girls to the people who passed the “nudge, nudge, wink, wink” test.

    “Do you like young girls, know what I mean, know what I mean?”

    Hard to believe every one of them was a pedophile or knew and let it slide. That many people surely couldn’t keep a secret of that magnitude.

      I think the girls were probably just the most scandalous thing he could offer. I’m sure he was able to provide for whatever your vice might be. Girls just have a way of being better witnesses than cocaine.

    What numerical value best estimates a “trove”? More than fifty? Five hundred to ten thousand? Over a million? Who’s working on this?

      I think the definition is relative to the scarcity of known information, so three ancient manuscripts by Diogenes would be a trove since we know very little of his ideas, but three manuscripts by Kant, though intriguing, would not be a trove (unless maybe they contained stuff totally different from the work we do have).
