And to make it worse apparently Estée Lauder is a Trump supporting company 😞 So I am looking for an ABA replacement. I like their style of The Ordinary products where it’s mostly single or a few ingredients to customize.
Has anybody tried Inkey List products? They are a UK company. Seems like they have what I want to replace so I am going to try some. Any other suggestions?
Hiya - I’ve used Inkey List, and I like them. In my opinion, Inkey List do some products better than TO. I’m really pleased with their Fulvic Acid cleanser and several serums - it will just depend on your needs.
Thanks for posting this btw, I was not aware of TO being a US company. I will join you in boycotting them.
Thanks! I just came back from Sephora and purchased a kit to try and their light weight moisturizer (omega water?). Can’t wait to try and compare.
I am really torn on TO as they are still in Canada and employ Canadians. Some (?) products are made in Canada but I emailed them a while back asking about a couple of products and where they are made as they have no “made in” on the packaging. No answer. That’s pretty poor customer service and therefore I also assume they don’t make them here.
🤬 the moisturizer I bought is made in UK but the kit was sealed. I should have checked to see if they have the 3 products separately. 2 are made in USA 😤 3rd one is made in Canada. I guess The Inkey List is not an option either. Or at least not all products. 😩
Have you tried any Marcelle products?
I have a couple of their make up products but I didn’t know they had skincare. Thanks.
However, I just looked. It’s not the same style of skin care. I don’t want a night cream. I want ingredient based products that are customizable. TO and Inkey list are totally different concept of skincare.
Fair enough. I mentioned Marcelle as they have truly been the hypoallergenic North American brand for a half century. One used to only see their line at compounding pharmacies.
Single ingredient lines are very difficult, or even ones that just exclude the top allergens. There have been some smaller Canadian lines, but they seem to come and go - or like Ilia, a originally Canadian brand manufactured in the EU, they go big and move their head office to the US.
Definitely appreciate the input. Even if it’s not for me, maybe for somebody who is reading. Thanks for the additional info too.
I saw a few smaller Canadian brands but I am worried about them sticking around as you mentioned. Such a pain when you find something that really works and then it’s go (or in this case turns out to be US).
TO will be it until I find something else. Their price is amazing and maybe between them and inkey list I can patch together non-US made at least.
