my electric bill actually went down a little. but only because the thermostat is now set to 55 (heat)-80F (ac) instead of 64-76F, i quit using the oven so much, the ‘homelab’ is off (was 24/7, but a ulv soc, so not much power draw), and the tv hasn’t been on in almost two years.

I’m in Australia, which is expensive. I’ve had multiple people come back from trips to USA shocked at how expensive it all is…USA used to be relatively cheap due to cheap labour and competition. Not so much any more.
