I feel like these fuckers only just merged
You feel that way because they just did.
They merged in April of 22.
Was the whole thing a ploy to rearrange debt?
They wanted the IPs, studios and streaming services of Warner. They got that and now they can toss the TV side into a “Discovery” company. That latter company is basically not expected to be the future of anything, I’d guess.
Interesting!
Celebrity marriages, amiright?
Warner Bros and Discovery Global, not much surprise there
The new publicly traded companies will be Warner Bros. (streaming and studios) and Discovery Global (comprising TV networks, Discovery+ and other assets).
